DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES OFFERED AT MAHWAH HIGH SCHOOL

In a dual-enrollment program, high school students may earn college credit, high school credit, or a combination of both.  MHS offers 31 courses that qualify for MHS and college credit from seven colleges/universities. In 2024-2025, 121 students earned college credits in 184 classes; 36 students, graduates from the Class of 2025, over four years earned six or more credits.

BERGEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE- HS PARTNERSHIP DUAL CREDIT PROGRAM

BCC’s Dual Enrollment Program provides an opportunity for high school students to earn college credit by taking college-level courses at their high school. These courses are taught by high school teachers who meet college-level educational standards. The dual enrollment program is available to high school students of junior and/or senior standing who have demonstrated academic readiness and have received the recommendation of their guidance counselor, school administrator, and parents. 7

BERGEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE: BERGEN EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

The Bergen Experience Program is a unique educational opportunity designed to provide high school seniors with a true college experience by earning academic credits during the early afternoon hours at Bergen Community College. FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON EARLY COLLEGE DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAM

The Early College Dual Enrollment program at Fairleigh Dickinson University allows high school students to take credit-bearing FDU courses from the comfort of their high school classrooms. Qualifying students can enroll in approved official FDU courses instructed by their high school teachers who have been reviewed and approved by FDU. Our program offers academically minded high school students a way to accelerate completion of their credit requirements toward a bachelor’s degree and can also provide significant savings on future college tuition costs. NJIT ADVANCED ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

The Options for Advanced Academic Achievement program provides an opportunity for qualified high school students from partner schools to earn college-credits at their school during the academic year. These courses are taught by high school teachers who have been certified by NJIT as adjunct faculty members in the related NJIT departments. Junior and senior high school students with an overall average of “B” or better, which includes course prerequisites, are eligible to enroll in these college-credit courses. RAMAPO COLLEGE OF NJ GRADE 12 OPTION PROGRAM

Currently enrolled high school seniors who wish to attend Ramapo College as a non-degree seeking student must meet the following requirements: Must be a high school senior Have a minimum GPA of a 3.00/B/85% Submit a letter of recommendation from a high school guidance counselor or principal supporting the student’s ability to work at a college level. SAINT ELIZABETH'S UNIVERSITY SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Outstanding high school juniors or seniors who have the written endorsement of their high school principal or guidance counselor may register as part-time college students for one or two courses in the fall, spring, or summer sessions at Saint Elizabeth University. Click on title for more>>>

SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAM

The Dual Enrollment Program benefits qualified high school juniors and seniors by enabling them to take college-level courses at designated high school sites. Join St. Thomas University’s Dual Enrollment Program and receive college credits before you graduate from high school! SETON HALL UNIVERSITY PROJECT ACCELERATION

Since 1978, Project Acceleration, a concurrent enrollment program within the College of Arts and Sciences at Seton Hall University, has allowed high school students in New Jersey and New York to get a head start on their university careers. Over the course of their high school career, junior and senior students can earn up to 22 credits from Seton Hall University for approved courses taken in their secondary schools. WORLD LANGUAGE-ACTFL- AMERICAN COUNCIL ON EDUCATION COLLEGE CREDITS FOR ORAL PROFICIENCY IN LANGUAGES

American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®) evaluated and recommended college credit for five ACTFL language proficiency assessments for the most recent period of 6/1/2020 - 5/31/2023.
