Visual & Media Arts
The Mahwah High School Visual and Media Arts Program offers students an array of courses which challenge students who possess a variety of interests and skill levels.
Students are encouraged to explore the arts through different media and lenses. Our courses are designed to develop skills in painting, drawing, three dimensional design, graphic arts, animation, computer modeling, and interior design. For students who wish to pursue more advanced levels of art, we offer a portfolio development class which prepares students for 3-D and studio Advanced Placement studies.
As a culminating experience, the Mahwah Visual Arts Department holds an annual Art Show, which is curated by the Art Club. The show is an interdisciplinary celebration of visual art, poetry, music, film, animation, and wood working.
